The original beamed ceiling is extraordinarily high and the antique pasta tile floor has a pattern of stylized flowers on a warm golden background . The en suite bathroom has a walk-in shower. There is a large window with translucent glass and a pretty wrought iron grill. The vanity is of custom-made cedar construction with a Yucatecan marble top and contemporary sink and is located outside the toilet and shower area so that two persons can attend to their needs simultaneously. The room is decorated with contemporary paintings by local Yucatecan artists.
