| AFRICA ROOM
The Africa Room is a beautiful bedroom in Casa Feliz, our adjoining rental home in the Casa Santiago compound. It is available for individual rental if the whole of the Casa Feliz rental home has not been rented out.
The Africa Room is handsomely furnished and has a very comfortable American pillow-top queen-sized bed. The pasta tile floor has a bold Africa-inspired pattern. The room’s air conditioning and ceiling fan are individually controlled. The original artwork is beautiful. The bathroom is new and attractive. It is stone-walled and has a contemporary walk-in shower and vanity with free standing sink. The interior window to the house’s sala is an accordion style, caramel opalescent glass example of the craftsmanship of Merida’s cabinetmakers. It provides perfect privacy and great filtered light. The room also has small skylights that provide additional focused light without the nuisance of heat. The enormous closet doors are a work of art, with inlaid wood to match the opalescent caramel glass of the window.
Breakfast is served with the other guests in the Casa Santiago house a few steps away. If you stay in the Africa Room, you may use the public rooms of the Casa Feliz rental house, that is, the living room, kitchen and veranda, as well as use the big pool in our garden. Take a look at the Casa Feliz tab on this site’s menu to see how nice that is. The Africa Room is extremely quiet and a great place for siestas.
