The Buddha Room in Casa Feliz is the favorite of our guests. It is available for individual nightly stays if the whole of the Casa Feliz rental home has not been rented out.
The Buddha Room was designed for tranquility. It is beautifully furnished. The furniture was made a local cabinetmaker and is tasteful and luxurious. The Buddha Room has an extraordinarily comfortable king-sized bed and a very large armoire. There is a newly redone shower with tremendous water pressure as well as a bidet. The floors are pasta tile. There are two functional round windows made from wrought iron and screened which are located high above the bed and allow you to listen to the fountain outside. The windows are shaded by palm trees. The air-conditioning and ceiling fan are individually controlled. All of the original artwork resonates with the secular peace of Buddha, a very nice human indeed. The Buddha Room is an excellent place to get your massages. We have two to recommend.
By conscious design, the television in the Buddha Room is not connected to the satellite system. It can be used to watch movies on DVDs, which we have in abundance, but happily not to keep you tied to the shoestrings of the frantic and disturbing twenty-four hour news cycle back home. We think that maybe Buddha would have approved of this esthetic compromise.
Breakfast with the other guests is served in the Casa Santiago house a few steps away. If you stay in the Buddha Room, you may use the public rooms of the Casa Feliz house, that is, the living room, kitchen and veranda, as well as the big pool in our garden. Take a look at the Casa Feliz tab on this site’s menu to see how nice that is. The Buddha Room cannot be matched for peacefulness and beauty.
